Lovingly Yours...

Love Month…

This Valentines Season it’s nice to see how people find ways to make their loved ones happy. By just a simple gift or a bunch of flowers and by just a poetic letter or even a simple text or e-mail messages what matters is that they can make their loved ones feel important on that very special day of celebrating Love.

During the Love week (Feb. 9 – 14) I’ve been an observant on what other people think for or planning for. And let me share my observations.

First, I observed that usually lovers want to make the valentine day something worth remembering for whether they’ll make a reservation on exclusive restaurants, hotels or a resort. And others want their wedding to be on that exact date. As a proof I’ve heard a true story at work about a certain guy or girl who is complaining and being problematic because of his /her reserved flight has been cancelled due to weather condition and she’s/he’s worrying that he couldn’t make it for his wedding on the valentine day. But all’s well that ends well. He/she had been rebooked to a new fight which will able him/her to be on his wedding day.

Second, we Filipinos were finding our way of celebrating Love month. And it’s nice to know that because of that certain celebration called Valentine we find reasons to celebrate. Knowing us, Filipinos we are very fond of festivities and I can say that it’s actually not the month of May as the official month of celebrations for different fiesta’s it actually starts on the month of February. Wherein we celebrate Love for our partner, friends, family, relatives or whatever it is that we really love. Speaking of celebration I can say that my way of celebrating Love month is really good. I celebrated it by expressing my Love for Music. I watched a free concert in Mall of Asia on the Hearts Day with my sister Reena. And it was really awesome watching Rico Blanco, Spongecola, Bamboo and Pupil. Indeed it was a memorable experience for me.

To end up I can say that each and every one of us as a unique creation of God has our own way of showing our Love. Whether by a simple letter, text or e-mail message or an extravagant preparation for a date and even by just doing our own way of expressing our Love what matters is that we know how to Loved and be Loved. And I think that’s what Love month is all about.

Celebrations.

The great way to welcome the New Year is by just simply celebrating and having fun. Same with ending the Last Year, when the Ber-months comes that’s the start of different festive celebrations for us Filipinos. So let me share to you how I together with my family say goodbye to Year 2008 and on how we welcome the New Year 2009.

November 12 – my Lola Nena’s Birthday.
November 18 – my Lola Linda’s Birthday.
November 28 – that’s my Birthday.

So in our family we got started celebrating early in November.
And when the month of December comes it is noticeable that everyone has been excited for the upcoming events that the holiday season brings for each and everyone. I really enjoyed traveling while observing during the holiday simply because you can see different scenes that would really captivate your heart. The whole December becomes very enjoyable for me because I know that this season creates peace and Love with one another. While traveling as I go to work I can see people who are very busy working and I say to myself that he’s working hard for the upcoming noche Buena (as how I observed it). One time I saw a guy with a pure smile even if he had a heavy bag and I said to myself that even if its really hard to travel you can still see a smile on his face for he knows that he’ll see his loved ones when he got home to his hometown and that will be a relief to the tiresome travel that guy will be having (family and loved ones are worth traveling for you know). And I also witness different people who are very happy. For the primary purpose of the holiday season is to be happy. That’s why different parties were being prepared such as family reunion, get together parties, grand alumni homecoming, and a company or school Christmas party. Thus, let me share you how I together with my family and friends celebrated the holiday season.

December 4 – I partied all night with my friends on my former work. It was a celebration of the birthday of my friend’s mom but for me it was the perfect time for us to be reunited. The former enemies became friends again. And that night became memorable because we just spent the night full of laughter…we sang and dance all night.

The holiday season won’t be complete without the different gifts to be given to each other. As the saying goes..”it’s the season of giving”. So different bazaar and tiangge has been put up and provided by different malls and entrepreneur for the holiday season. And our family became a part of those shoppers. Two consecutive weekend of December, I together with my family went to Greenhills and Marikina RiverPark to shop and have a goodtime. We witnessed the mannequin play in Greenhills and I can see to my young sister’s face that she is really enjoying. In Marikina RiverPark we enjoyed the shopping for all of the products were very affordable. We also witnessed a singing contest being held at the park.

December 9 - I together with my new friends at our office attended our company’s Christmas party.

December 24 – me and my two sister attended the mass in Macalelon Quezon. The entire day was spent greeting each other a very Merry Christmas whether personally or via text.

December 25 – me and my high school friend meet again and celebrated. I together with Ira Secapuri, Sherwin Leynes, Ivan Samadan and Kevin Mendoza spent the night of Christmas together chatting and drinking. Even if we were not complete by that time we still enjoyed the company of each other. ( magkukumare at kumpare na kami by this time.)

December 31 – we were all busy preparing for the New Year. We make loud noise as much as we can. With the help of our music player and some fireworks. We got amazed with the spectacular fireworks being displayed. We ate the food that was prepared by our Mom. And I can say that welcoming a New Year was really exciting.

That’s what I’ve experienced this Holiday Season, a smiling person whom despite of his tiresome journey going home can still smile because he knows that his purpose of traveling is worth traveling for.Indeed Holiday Season is the perfect representation of how our daily Life should be, a day which is filled with Love, Unity and Happiness. May it always be a holiday for each and everyone of us.

starry starry night...

Last Night…. 15th of October 2008.

As our 2-day workshop ended for the quality customer service our trainer treated us out for a gimmick. Since it’s their pay-day he treated us in the Gusteaus bar in Libis Q.C. We enjoyed drinking, videoke singing, dancing and chatting. I together with my other co-trainees (there are 6 of them, and they’ll be my new officemate’s to be after we finished the training) also shared for that night’s additional monetary fund.

The surprising thing was that I find it easier nowadays to get along with others. And to be honest, that’s not the Jo-Fhrey M. Parcarey before. I was snobbish & aloof way back then. That’s why most often I find it hard to befriend others. I choose who will be my friend and who’s not. That’s me way back then, I believe that the friends that I have is enough. And that’s one of the things that I became afraid of before resigning t my previous job. I became afraid that I’ll find it hard to make new friends and to deal with other people. I’m afraid that others won’t accept me as their friend. But during the three days that I’ve been attending our training I find it easy to befriend others. And here’s my secret, a night before the first day of our workshop/training I read again Dale Carnegie’s book about human relations entitled “How to Win Friends and Influence People”. I first read it when I was in first year college, simply because by then I was also afraid that I wouldn’t have a friend. And even though by that time I just gained few friends I can say that still the book was effective. Thus, I read it again after so many years. But by this time I just scanned the book and reviewed all the necessary details that it contains that could be very helpful.

Let me share you the six ways to make people like you, coming from the book:

RULE 1: Become genuinely interested in other people.

RULE 2: SMILE =)

RULE 3: Remember that a man’s name is to him the sweetest and most important sound in any language.

RULE 4: Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.

RULE 5: Talk in terms of the other man’s interest.

RULE 6: Make the other person feel important – and do it sincerely.

That’s what makes my relations with others easier. And I feel glad that although it was just three days that we’ve known each other my relation with my new colleagues is becoming good. And in the long run I’ll have all of them as my friend. But just to clarify, I’m not expecting that I’ll be having all of my colleagues as my closest friend. That’s not usually happening because I can’t please everyone. But it feels great befriending with others and if you noticed that they don’t like you just go on with life don’t mind them. It’s not your lost actually it their lost.

Tonight… 16th of October 2008.

We’ll be moving on the next training and it’s about product knowledge. The exciting thing about that training is that it will be done at night. So I’m now preparing for the graveyard schedule. What do I expect tonight? Of course to gain more knowledge so that I can be prepared by the following week as I started working. Second to that is to build good relationship with my batch mates. There are sixteen of us in the 23rd batch of trainees and I’m hoping to build good working relationship with them. And I can surely do that by just simply following the six rules.

I can say that people doesn’t just have to work and work to gain more profit. There’s more beyond that and it’s to gain more experiences and new friends. So try it out guys whether you’re still studying or now working try to explore a new world, experience new things and to simply enjoy life! Start making new friends now.

coming back and becoming...

this is my first posted article in this site..and as i come back in writing and posting articles again in the other site i've decided to also start posting in here..thus,i'm becoming an official blogger/writer for this site.
Here's my first article:

SEPTEMBER: Realizing and deciding….

Early morning of the last working day of August I found myself in front of my computer typing a resignation letter. Maybe it’s because after three day of realizing things I ended up with my final decision and that is for me to resign. I thought that resigning is much easier than applying but I am wrong. Because with application it will be easier for you will be assessed and will be judged if you’re qualified while on resignation it’s only you who will decide if it’s the right thing to do. And I can say that resigning or leaving is one of the hardest things that a person has to face. For with that action, it will lead you to the feeling of sadness knowing that you’ll have to leave the place that you’ve been staying with for a couple of years and also you’ll be leaving the people that become a part of your life.

And the month of September had become really hard for me. For this will be the best time for my final decision making whether I’ll stand firm with my decision or go back to the company that I’ve been serving with for more than two years. But after a series of realization due to enough relaxation (I’ve been staying at home you know and I become relaxed) I ended up with my decision and that is to…really put an end with my former working life and to start a new beginning.

OCTOBER: Coming back and becoming….

Today I went back to my former office where I’ve spent more than two years of my life working and enjoying life. It has been several weeks that I didn’t go there after my resignation last August 30th. And today as I come back, I’ve seen maybe for the last time our work stations, the memorable lobby of the building and the many faces of my former officemates who became a part of my life. It feels good seeing them again, my officemates or should I say my friends! Seeing all of them smiling at me gives an unexplainable feeling deep inside of me, maybe it’s because these people became a part of my more than two year work-life story. I’ll admit I missed them and that’s one of the factors of my unexplainable emotion. Upon coming back I realized a lot of things, I realized that my former co-workers were not just a simple former officemates but their also my friend that I will cherish forever. And I admit that I will be missing them, all of the fun and laughter that I shared with them. I also realized that even though today as I come back it doesn’t mean that I went back to stay I can say that just seeing my former officemates smiling at me it could be a good reason for me to really come back and stay. But sad to say I wouldn’t and I couldn’t. Anyway, I just dropped by to my former office to get my certificate of employment because today is also my day of becoming…

Becoming a new person to a new world is what I will be starting today. Because today I’m officially a new employee to the new company that I have applied with. I attended the orientation in the morning and signed my contract during the afternoon. And I can say that I’m now becoming renewed as a person. Having a new workplace, a new company to work for and a new set of friends to make or discover I can say that I’m starting all over again. And this day will be a new beginning for me. A great start for me to be renewed. That’s maybe the reason why my former officemates noticed my refreshing aura as I went to our former office to get My COE. What they didn’t know is that I had a good rest last weekend because of felling unwell. And becoming sick for a couple of days is a miraculous story for me. Because of what happened to me (being sick, having an irritated right eye, and sore throat) I got worried that I could not make it today for the orientation and contract signing. But GOD is good because of Him with the help of prescribed medicines and medications (warm compressing of my irritated eye) I make it today in attending my very first day at my new work and with that I’m very thankful (from day one of my application up to the completion of my requirements was also a miraculous stories for me which I’m also thankful with). For I know that although I’m not a good servant of Him everything will be possible if we’ll just sincerely ask for a certain thing that we want. An in my case the feeling of wellness was all that I am asking for. And that was granted today, as I woke up today I didn’t just feel well but I also feel the excitement inside of me (my right eye went back to the normal appearance). For today will be a great day for me becoming a new employee.

And I had my day coming back to where I was before and in becoming a newbie to a new world that I’ll be staying with starting today.
