LOVE FIVE

I had just finished reading Ricky Lee’s book entitled “Para kay B (O paano dinevastate ng Pag-ibig ang 4 out of 5 sa atin)” last month. It’s a story about 5girls having different love stories. The main character is a writer named Lucas who wrote those love stories and who doesn’t know how to end the written story. The character implied at the beginning that there is a quota in love. 1 out 5 girls will only be having a happy love story according to him. But after finishing the book I noticed that the protagonist seems to find it hard how to end the story and to defend the said quota in love. He reached the point wherein all of the female characters he wrote appeared and imaginarily talking to him complaining on the ending of their love story and asking for the main character to edit or revised the ending of each story. Many people who read the said book admire the writer he present the story very well. Realistic as it seems because it really happens in the real world. And he presents the idea outrageously. Declaring an idea at the start, but he does not defend it as the story goes he just site sample stories which seems to be true. And in the end he honestly wrote (as how I understand it) that he himself isn’t sure with the said idea without admitting it. And the ending of the story? Happiness, for all of the female character’s request to the writer was granted. Each of the stories had a happy ending.

I can say that it is really true that each one of us had a different love stories to tell but it actually depends on us how to give an ending to it whether it will be a happy or sad ending. Most people nowadays will agree on the said quota that there is only one girl among five that will be having the great love story. But that thinking is wrong. As long as we live we discover new things and we can create again a new love story or continue the previous love story we had before. Like in the story “ Para kay B”, the author presented the story intelligently. He doesn’t defend the negative idea of the said quota but perhaps in the end he delivers or shared much greater idea about love and how to deal with it by just simply inserting the magical scene wherein the female characters that the main character(the writer in the story) is writing appears imaginarily contesting for the ending of their love stories. And that’s the right way of thinking. If we had a sad love story, we can still contest and request for a happy ending on it. Happy ending doesn’t mean that the two of you would end up together if it does much better if not then maybe it simply means that its just a chapter of your life and that you have to move on and find another on who could be with you until the end of time. Always remember as long as we live life goes on. There is no ending, as long as we are alive.

And since I got inspired with the authors presentation of his five LOVE stories, here are my personal collection of five love stories from different people who shared their stories to me. And let me reiterate that these stories has no ending yet it’s just the beginning and the on-going process. The ending? Uhm, it depends to the lead characters how they’ll end their own love stories.

My first story is about a not so sexy friend of mine who fell in love to my best buddy at work way back then, before I wrote her story I had asked for permission to do this and she allowed me to do so but provided that her name won’t be included. That’s why I won’t name names. My circle of friends includes every gender that’s why it is expected to happen that a certain girl would fell for a boy and vice versa. And that’s what happened to my dear friend, she unknowingly fell to my best buddy. And sadly the guy didn’t give love in return. I witnessed the heartache that my friend experienced when the guy courted another girl and I was the one who gives her a shoulder to cry on. A sad story indeed but the good part of that is that my not so sexy friend learned to move on…

Second story. It’s about an elementary schoolgirl who gives love letters to her crush or puppy love if I may say so. During her younger years this little girl experienced to be neglected for the young boy way back then didn’t like her. But as time goes by and when they reach the right age they became lovebirds. And until today their love story is continuously on going. This was actually shared to me by one of my closest friend also,a young-looking lady whom you would mistakenly thought as an elementary student up to now.

The third story..is about patiently waiting for love. A funny and lovable girl during her college days find the love of her life. Their first meeting was on a jeepney while the lovable yet funny girl is on her way to school a certain guy kept staring on her as they were traveling and when the funny-lovely student reached her destination the guy bravely asked for the girl’s friendster account and that’s how they love story begun. They exchanged testimonials and messages and after a year (whatta long wait..isn’t it) the funny girl received a text message from an anonymous number saying hello and she mistakenly thought that the texter was the one who asked her cellphone number on a pice of paper at the jeep earlier that day/week that’s why she got surprised that the texter is the one who actually asked for her fs acct.a year ago. And the rest is history,up to now their relationship is going strong but a big challenge on their relationship happened. A month ago the guy needs to undergo training for a period of 6months and in accordance to the training is the fact that there will no cellphones and visitors allowed..as in no communication at all. And with that challenge the funny and lovable girl needs to wait for six months. But impressively the guy secretly call her whenever there is a chance. According to the funny girl, at least by this time she doesn’t have to wait for a year but half a year instead. And I’m proud to share that the funny but lovable girl is also one of my closest friend nowadays.

Fourth story. Is actually the story of the contestants in Wowowee’s willie of fortune segment. On this episode the players are those woman who got their first pregnancy at the age of 35yrs.old and above. And when Will asked one of the contestant why did their pregnancy had to happen at middle age. One of the contestant who got pregnant at 46 simply explained that she prioritized first her siblings because she is a bread winner resulting for her own family to be built on a latter time than expected (but still she had found the love of her life). While the other one said that she got traumatized to her former relationships and decided to be contented with a child and did not want at all to have a husband. But the others were so thankful for they didn’t expect that with their age they will still be given a wonderful blessing of having a child. Different heartwarming stories I’ve watched earlier in Wowowee! In accordance to this let me also share the thoughts of my seatmate a day ago. Same as the contestant she always gave up her love life to make her family happy. But she reached the point wherein she decided to think for her happiness also resulting for her to fight for her present boyfriend. Isn’t those stories amazing, some people had to sacrifice first their love life for the benefit of their families while others were fighting for their love and their happiness.

Fifth story. Is about my newly married friend. Before she got married my dear friend experienced a lot of heartaches also. Before she tied up with her groom she had actually a nightmare with her previous relationship. At first she had good times with her ex-partner and after a year of having a relationship many problems occurred, many questions bothering her and it ended with a big revelation. That even I couldn’t accept it at all. My newly married friend was neglected by her ex-partner (one of our friends also) and she was replaced by another human-being. The girl cried and got paranoid. Thanks to friendship, for all of us her true friend was there to support her. That could be a sad story but it doesn’t end there. For after a few months of the said incident my friend met again her childhood sweetheart and by then their love story continued and resulting for them to be united as one by God on their wedding celebrated last weekend. The celebration was fascinating it was filled with love and happy people and that includes me! I was happy for my friend for she already found her groom. She was a happy bride I can say that as how I observed it during the wedding. The guest were actually consisted of their highschool friends/classmates and our group the bride’s former and existing workmates.

With those love stories I can say that as long as we live we can create a new love story, modify our old love story and refresh our former love story. It will just depend on each and every one of us. Always put it in mind as long as we live the story goes on. Life goes on. And if we love life we can create/write the greatest love story of all and that can be your Life story.

month of June..saying goodbye...

the month of June became a month of sorrow for many people who knows Jayson. For this month was very sorrowful for all the people who knows Mr.Jayson Serrano, whom in a way got to know him or became close to him. For our dear friend passed away on this month.

How i wish this did not happen. He doesnt deserve an ending like this. Our friend has many plans and he's beginning to make those plans to really happen step by step. He actually enrolled to his alma mater to pursue his studies. But this month as the 1st day of scholl started his Life already ended.

But as i got to know the story of his death. How he was ambushed. I've learned that he knows that that night will be his ending. He actually tell the other victims this phrase " tara tol walang iwanan sama-sama tayo sa heaven". And the rest is history. But with that phrase coming from him on that very last night og him,it lessen the burden i'm feeling as a friend. For with that phrase coming from him, that simply means that he had an idea what is going to happen and that he is ready ( even if he had no choice) to leave not their province (he's actually scheduled to leave their province any day after that night to continue studying in manila) but all of us earthlings...

And this month July as his birthday is coming as well as the 40th day of his death. ( July 17 is his Birthday and also the 40th day of his death).

I want to tell him through this blog that i salute him. A HAPPY person who befriends everyone. A GOOD person with a GREAT mind. And a batchmate in DMA Intl.,a dear friend, a good drinkmate. TO A PRECIOUS PERSON..Goodbye to you and Happy Trip. We'll be missing you JAYSON!

Happy Hours.

Happy Hours

That’s the name of the recent promo that my company had launched a week ago. And that’s what gave me the idea of using it as the title for this blog and for it to be the topic.

On my work the promo mechanics goes like this: there will only be a given hours on a day for the customer to avail the promo. That’s why it was called the happy hour. For those given hours will the happiest hour for the customer since they can avail our product on the cheapest rate that we can offer. But for us employee’s that would be the opposite. For us our happy hour would be those time which will not be covered by the promo period.

That’s how life mechanics is: each one of us will be having our own Happy Hours. And that memorable hour could be favorable to us but not to others. So by now let me share to you the Happy Hours of my Life which happened recently.

April: this month is very well known for the Holy Week season. This is the perfect time for everyone to get together, to be reunited, to reflect on things and give thanks. And for me each day of the Holy Week had a happy hour. Holy Monday and Tuesday was an easy day for us employees simply because we’ve got little things due to unlimited time of working. And those hours working is really favorable to us, having enough time to relax while at work. While the Holy Wednesday has been a perfect time for me to reflect while traveling. That’s why the five hour long of travel is worth taking for, since I got relaxed due to a long sleep while traveling. My hour of arrival was also a feel-good moment! The Maundy Thursday and Good Friday was filled with hour of amazement for I got amazed seeing different church replica on my second hometown Macalelon Quezon wherein you can find the annual celebration of the Kubol Festival (Church Replica Fest – see my uploaded photos on my fs acct.on the Holyweek’09 album). Each hour of Black Saturday was spent with my family. And lastly my Easter Sunday was very memorable for I traveled 3Hours riding on bus while standing the whole travel on the state of being drunk. But the 3hours long of traveling is worth taking, for an hour before I ride the last trip bus was spent with my childhood friend in Quezon. I was supposed to take the earliest trip but while waiting on the bus stop I saw my childhood friends and they encourage me to stay for awhile for us to drink and to get together even for a few hours. And who can refuse to that kind of offer. So I decided to stay for awhile and we drink and got drunk for more than an hour. Resulted for me to take the last trip which take 3hours of my travel standing, given the fact that I was drunk by then. It was really memorable.

May: each day of this month had a certain hour for my Happy moments. But the most memorable hour of a day in this month was the time wherein my sister and I attended the Pahiyas Festival in Lucban Quezon. Such a wonderful celebration .There is also an hour of amazement for the decorations on each houses was really fabulous. There is also a time of holiness for we visit the Kamay ni Hesus Shrine ( see my uploaded photos on my fs acct.at the Pahiyas ’09 Album). And indeed we really come to a point of experiencing Happy Hour because we went to Juno’s Resto Bar wherein we had our dinner and we drink afterwards. I really got drunk but it’s worth drinking for.

Those are my recent Happy Hours and I’m expecting for more Happy Hours to come on me this upcoming hours/days.

Happiness comes in our life on the least moment we’re expecting for it. But whether we’re not expecting or we’ll be planning for Happiness to arrive in our Life. What matters is that we are experiencing happiness without hurting anyone and upon getting to that certain point of Happiness we share it to others, whether our Loved ones, family, or friends. So start sharing your Happy Hours. And let’s continue Happiness in life!

Weekend of April.

1st weekend of April.

On my recent blog I’ve mentioned about being alone or all by yourself as how the famous song goes. And during the first weekend of the month of April I’ve experienced the same situation that I’ve shared a blog ago. A situation that I don’t want to experience the most and that is the state of loneliness just because of being alone. Since last Friday my family already went to our province for the very long vacation the Lenten Season had for everyone. Resulting for me to be left here due to work related reason. Thus, putting me in the state of being alone which lead for me to think. Thinking that makes me realize a lot of things. Different things about Life.

And before anything else since until today I’m still in the state of being lonely due to normal circumstances of being alone for a while. I can say that a good friend/person who knows you a lot can really tell whether you’re at ease or being bothered by something. And that’s what I’ve experienced earlier at work. Since my face is expressive some of my colleague notice my lonesome face and asked me if I’m sick or not feeling well. And with that it makes me feel good for it simply shows that there is really someone who will care for you during your lonesome days and I feel thankful for with that realization I can say that even though I’m alone still there are still good friends or kind persons that will be ready to accompany you. Just learn to appreciate things. And I can say that with what I experienced today I really appreciated the simplest thing that the kind person have done for me to feel comfortable and at ease. So today after being on the state of loneliness I want to share to each and every one that when we got to the point of being alone and it makes us feel lonely. It is indeed all right to be on that state for a while to realize things and reflect on things but we better make sure that after that lonesome hour we can still get up and can still mingle with others especially our family, friends or loved ones. For they are still there maybe we didn’t just noticed them waiting for us to again be with them in sharing the happiness life has to offered.

And since I’m back again to the state of reality, which is actually the state of happiness. I can say that this Lenten Season the main purpose for each and every one of us is to reflect and to realize things. Whatever it may be, it’s up to each and every persona that we have inside of us. And with that realization I do hope that everyone will realize that it is okay to be sad for a while as long as you are still aiming to be happy afterwards. Like what I’ve experienced last weekend, I become in the state of loneliness for a few days and now I’m ending it and I’m ready to face a very happy day tomorrow. For tomorrow I’ll be going back to my hometown to spend the Holy Week there together with my loved ones. And with that there’s only one thing that I can expect for and that is Happiness!

Marching On.

Marching On.

Left. Right. Left. Right..as if I’m really marching. But the fact is I’m just having my daily routine of walkathon when I usually go home at night after work. And each of everyday I walked I can see different faces and think of different stories that is reflected on each and every faces.

Happiness. Since high school I really Love walking on my way home together with my friends. It’s not because I lack the money to pay for a tricycle ride but there’s really something into walking that I can really identify by now. It’s simply because of the happiness I got by just simply walking with my friends. With that we can get along much better, we can talked and we can share our own stories on a very long hours. That’s one of the reasons why I like walking. And I’m so glad and proud to say that until now as I grow older I have maintained that habit, I would usually asked my friends at work for us to take a walk, primarily for us to have a long chat. The longer the roads we take much better.

Thinking. There are times that I walked alone and those days that I got to walked alone were the days wherein I get the chance to reflect on things by just simply observing my own world. My own universe. And it is really helpful for a person to sometimes walk alone for them to realize what they lack or what they should be thinking of. It will just simply come to a person’s mind what he really needs to think about or to consider for without really expecting for it to come on their mind. That’s why it really pays to walk alone for sometimes. Or even just being alone for a while.

Observation. As I walked I can see many faces. Some looks happy, really really happy while others don’t. and as I observe people it makes me think what makes them feel that certain emotion that usually reflect and can be shown on their face. Happiness reigns on me when I see a person smiling while walking with that scenario a happy story keeps rolling in my mind while sad stories comes into my mind whenever I see sad or mad people. And I kept on figuring out what could make them feel that way and I keep hoping that a happy story will once come in his/her life for them to have a happy face. Earlier I saw vendors with their tiresome looks I feel sorry for them and it makes me think, why do other people have to experience that kind of Life. But the good thing about it despite of their status they keep on marching on. They continue selling their products for them to be able to survive. And I salute them for that especially those young people who continuously fighting in order for them to survive and I can see that they are fighting a good fight! Salute them for that kind of attitude.

And since this month is considered as graduation month I would also want to pay tribute to those graduates who graduated with flying colors. Not just because of high grades but simply because of the happiness and pride the diploma can give to them as a newly graduate but as well as to their family. And I would also like to pay more attention to those working student whom on their own successfully finished their schooling. I also salute them for their positive attitude towards a bright future. Good job graduates.
But the month of March isn’t just the end of another school year it is also the starting point for the graduates for they’ll be facing a new life and a much challenging one. In the outside world where all of kinds of people can be encountered and all kinds of challenges has to be conquered.

But the month of March isn’t just for the graduates it is for everyone since this month is also the starting point of Summer. And who would not be glad for the summer time to come. For students it’s their time to relax and have fun after a series of long exams and quizzes. For others it’s time to spend some quality time with friends, family or loved ones. That’s why it’s really nice for the summer time to come. A perfect time for relaxation, vacation and can also be a time for reflection.

That’s how life goes by. Yesterday its raining and now here the summer coming enticing all of us to have fun. You may be walking as if you are marching and each time you walk you will encounter different people, you will see different faces which will leads you of thinking different stories. What really matters is that no matter how challenging life can be we must keep on marching on! Life is a cycle. If yesterday is a good day and today is a rainy day. Don’t worry for tomorrow will be a sunny day for each and every one of us. Let’s just welcome the sunrise and feel the warmth and happiness it may bring.

Lovingly Yours...

Love Month…

This Valentines Season it’s nice to see how people find ways to make their loved ones happy. By just a simple gift or a bunch of flowers and by just a poetic letter or even a simple text or e-mail messages what matters is that they can make their loved ones feel important on that very special day of celebrating Love.

During the Love week (Feb. 9 – 14) I’ve been an observant on what other people think for or planning for. And let me share my observations.

First, I observed that usually lovers want to make the valentine day something worth remembering for whether they’ll make a reservation on exclusive restaurants, hotels or a resort. And others want their wedding to be on that exact date. As a proof I’ve heard a true story at work about a certain guy or girl who is complaining and being problematic because of his /her reserved flight has been cancelled due to weather condition and she’s/he’s worrying that he couldn’t make it for his wedding on the valentine day. But all’s well that ends well. He/she had been rebooked to a new fight which will able him/her to be on his wedding day.

Second, we Filipinos were finding our way of celebrating Love month. And it’s nice to know that because of that certain celebration called Valentine we find reasons to celebrate. Knowing us, Filipinos we are very fond of festivities and I can say that it’s actually not the month of May as the official month of celebrations for different fiesta’s it actually starts on the month of February. Wherein we celebrate Love for our partner, friends, family, relatives or whatever it is that we really love. Speaking of celebration I can say that my way of celebrating Love month is really good. I celebrated it by expressing my Love for Music. I watched a free concert in Mall of Asia on the Hearts Day with my sister Reena. And it was really awesome watching Rico Blanco, Spongecola, Bamboo and Pupil. Indeed it was a memorable experience for me.

To end up I can say that each and every one of us as a unique creation of God has our own way of showing our Love. Whether by a simple letter, text or e-mail message or an extravagant preparation for a date and even by just doing our own way of expressing our Love what matters is that we know how to Loved and be Loved. And I think that’s what Love month is all about.

Celebrations.

The great way to welcome the New Year is by just simply celebrating and having fun. Same with ending the Last Year, when the Ber-months comes that’s the start of different festive celebrations for us Filipinos. So let me share to you how I together with my family say goodbye to Year 2008 and on how we welcome the New Year 2009.

November 12 – my Lola Nena’s Birthday.
November 18 – my Lola Linda’s Birthday.
November 28 – that’s my Birthday.

So in our family we got started celebrating early in November.
And when the month of December comes it is noticeable that everyone has been excited for the upcoming events that the holiday season brings for each and everyone. I really enjoyed traveling while observing during the holiday simply because you can see different scenes that would really captivate your heart. The whole December becomes very enjoyable for me because I know that this season creates peace and Love with one another. While traveling as I go to work I can see people who are very busy working and I say to myself that he’s working hard for the upcoming noche Buena (as how I observed it). One time I saw a guy with a pure smile even if he had a heavy bag and I said to myself that even if its really hard to travel you can still see a smile on his face for he knows that he’ll see his loved ones when he got home to his hometown and that will be a relief to the tiresome travel that guy will be having (family and loved ones are worth traveling for you know). And I also witness different people who are very happy. For the primary purpose of the holiday season is to be happy. That’s why different parties were being prepared such as family reunion, get together parties, grand alumni homecoming, and a company or school Christmas party. Thus, let me share you how I together with my family and friends celebrated the holiday season.

December 4 – I partied all night with my friends on my former work. It was a celebration of the birthday of my friend’s mom but for me it was the perfect time for us to be reunited. The former enemies became friends again. And that night became memorable because we just spent the night full of laughter…we sang and dance all night.

The holiday season won’t be complete without the different gifts to be given to each other. As the saying goes..”it’s the season of giving”. So different bazaar and tiangge has been put up and provided by different malls and entrepreneur for the holiday season. And our family became a part of those shoppers. Two consecutive weekend of December, I together with my family went to Greenhills and Marikina RiverPark to shop and have a goodtime. We witnessed the mannequin play in Greenhills and I can see to my young sister’s face that she is really enjoying. In Marikina RiverPark we enjoyed the shopping for all of the products were very affordable. We also witnessed a singing contest being held at the park.

December 9 - I together with my new friends at our office attended our company’s Christmas party.

December 24 – me and my two sister attended the mass in Macalelon Quezon. The entire day was spent greeting each other a very Merry Christmas whether personally or via text.

December 25 – me and my high school friend meet again and celebrated. I together with Ira Secapuri, Sherwin Leynes, Ivan Samadan and Kevin Mendoza spent the night of Christmas together chatting and drinking. Even if we were not complete by that time we still enjoyed the company of each other. ( magkukumare at kumpare na kami by this time.)

December 31 – we were all busy preparing for the New Year. We make loud noise as much as we can. With the help of our music player and some fireworks. We got amazed with the spectacular fireworks being displayed. We ate the food that was prepared by our Mom. And I can say that welcoming a New Year was really exciting.

That’s what I’ve experienced this Holiday Season, a smiling person whom despite of his tiresome journey going home can still smile because he knows that his purpose of traveling is worth traveling for.Indeed Holiday Season is the perfect representation of how our daily Life should be, a day which is filled with Love, Unity and Happiness. May it always be a holiday for each and everyone of us.
